Welcome to Pennsylvania Real Estate
Pennsylvania, named after Quaker founder William Penn, became the second state December 12, 1787. As the second state, it has a long and interesting history. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the site of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, as well as the location of the first presidential mansion. The state of Pennsylvania is also where the first American flag was created, the first daily newspaper was circulated, the first baseball stadium was built, and the first computer was created.
Today, Pennsylvania is home to 12.4 million people. Residents are attracted to the state for its exceptionally low crime rate (rated 70 on an index where 100 represents the national average), its four distinct seasons, and its scenic trees and greenery. The state's average home sale price in 2004 was $173,000.
