Welcome to New Mexico Real Estate

New Mexico has grown by 25% since 1990, beating the national growth average by 7%. Despite this incredible growth, the state's population remains below 2 million, although it is the 5th largest state in land area, and with only 12 people per square mile, it is one of the least population-dense states, with more sheep and cattle than people.

Along with a rural atmosphere, New Mexico offers Mexican ambiance. Originally owned by the Spanish, it is now a bilingual state (Spanish and English), and has plenty of Spanish-style architecture. New Mexico hosts an annual Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, and the annual Whole Enchilada Fiesta, where the world's largest enchilada is made.

The average New Mexico home sold for $189,000 in 2004, but prices in the Santa Fe area are over double the price of the state average.
